Gallor Loop n°8: Cycling the Roman Trail from Arlon
A 35.9 km cycling route following Roman footsteps around Arlon, blending ancient heritage with Gaume countryside.

Starting from Arlon's Archaeological Museum, this cycling route takes you through the legacy of the ancient Gallo-Roman city of Orolaunum. Over nearly 36 kilometres, you pedal across gentle hills and villages still bearing witness to Roman presence.
The route weaves between quiet country roads and light forest sections. You'll discover the region's archaeological heritage while enjoying sweeping views over Belgian Lorraine. The terrain is moderate, suitable for cyclists comfortable with several hours in the saddle.
Expect around 2.5 to 3 hours of actual riding time to complete this loop, more if you pause for cultural stops. A hybrid or touring bike works perfectly. Spring or autumn offer the best experience, with changing colours and fewer crowds on the road. Bring water and check your tyres before heading out.
